    The Zoological Society of Kerala (ZSK) is a voluntary ,professional organisation of Zoology teachers of Kerala, India, established in 1989. The ZSK is registered under charitable society act with Reg.no.K/396/89. The society has two kinds of membership: Ordinary Membership and Life Membership. Currently ZSK has about 210 members.

Aim

To provide a forum for mooting, debating and implementing programmes that help to enhance professional efficiency and quality of teaching, learning and evaluation

Objectives

  • To implement programmes for the academic improvement of Zoology teachers.
  • To encourage research activities in academic institutions.
  • To assist the University bodies in the development of curricula.
  • To suggest reforms in the system of examination and methods of evaluation.
  • To publish and distribute books, journals and periodicals.
  • To promote the idea of conservation of nature and natural resources.
  • To organise tests and competitions and to distribute prizes and awards to Zoology students.
